Semen extenders are liquid diluents that buffer sperm cells and preserve their fertilizing potentials. The commercial carbonated drink (CD) as an extender was evaluated on semen characteristics, fertility hatchability in Yoruba ecotype chickens (YECs). fructose of the CD 1.52?0.05 mg/ml. Under conditions 370Celsius, 5% 10% were added to egg yolk citrate solution make 100%. obtained from ten matured chicken cocks with average weight 1.8?0.2 kg. pooled a test tube for preservation at 0, 30 60 minutes, respectively, factorial design layout. Percentage motility significantly (p<0.05) higher inclusion compared control. Motility decreased increase time across treatments. percentage dead when sluggish increased time. Fertility eggs inclusion. It concluded drinks could cock minutes improved eggs.
